Act V did not give any information about Shylock and his suffering; this makes the play the lighter, but as a reader I did not like the lack of information pertaining to Shylock. For example, I wonder how does Shylock make a living after converting. Lastly, the ending seems too perfect for the Christians with Antonio's ships miraculously surviving, and the newly weds reuniting.
